A ceremony was held in Sunlu Village, Lwe Taw Kham Village Tract, Tachileik Township, Shan State (East) on the morning of March 20 to open an inter-village concrete road in commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day.

The event began with an opening speech by Colonel Kyaw Min Tun from the local military installation in Tachileik Township. Following that, U Kyaw Swar Myo, Chairman of the Township Administration Body, provided an overview of the construction of the new concrete road.

Colonel Kyaw Min Tun and other officials then presented certificates of appreciation to the donors who contributed to the construction of the road. Then, U Law Ta, the village head, expressed gratitude on behalf of the villagers.

The ceremony concluded with the cutting of a ceremonial ribbon by U Kyaw Swar Myo, the Chairman of the Township Administration Body, along with town elders and U Chit Gwe, the Loi Taw Kham Village Tract Administrator, officially opening the new concrete road.

The concrete road, which measures 58 feet in length, 16 feet in width, and 5 inches in thickness, has been under construction since February 1 of this year. Funded by well-wishers and villagers with a contribution of 3.0 million Thai Baht, the road was completed on February 24. It aims to improve transportation for local residents in the surrounding villages of Sunlu.
