The final match of an inter-district U-21 men’s football tournament was held in conjunction with a prize awarding ceremony at the sports ground in Kengtung, Eastern Shan State on 25 December.
In the final game, the team representing Taunggyi District defeated the squad representing Loilem Dstrict 2-0 and became the champion of the tourney. Shan State Lawmaker Dr. Wunna Soe, Deputy Commissioner U Ye Naing and concerned officials presented individual awards and cash to prize winning players and teams.
Next, Shan State Minister for Ahkar Ethnic Affairs U Arr Bay Hla awarded champion trophy, individual prizes and cash to the footballers from the champion winning team.
A total of 12 teams representing 12 districts from Shan State took part in the competition that runs from 13 to 25 December.—Aung Zin Myint (IPRD)
