In accord with the motto “To inform, educate and entertain the public”, the Ministry of Information (MoI) under the civilian government has been carrying on that mission for three years as of now. The following is two exclusive interviews with the Union Minister for Information, Dr. Pe Myint, and Deputy Minister U Aung Hla Tun on the tasks and accomplishments undertaken by the ministry in its third year of operations.

“The regional government upgrades classrooms regularly to develop the education sector. In 2018-2019, they opened 47 basic education high schools, 143 basic education high branch schools, 417 basic education middle schools, 187 basic education middle branch schools, 148 post primary schools, 85 primary schools and 27 primary branch schools.”

The National Health Plan (2017-2020) mandated a distribution of 33 types of medicine worth K85 million, an ambulance and Type C laboratories worth K10 million each.
