Union Minister for Health Dr Myint Htwe attended the central level meeting on monitoring and controlling Novel Coronavirus 2019 in Yangon yesterday.

The opening ceremony of the Myanmar Motion Picture Museum was held at Myanmar Motion Picture Association (MMPA) on Wingaba Road in Yangon at 1 pm yesterday.

Foreign embassies’ officials and their family members led by Union Minister U Kyaw Tin of the Ministry of International Cooperation went on a diplomatic tour from 8 to 10 February to see the natural sceneries, cultural entities, and development progress in Dawei city, Myeik Archipelago and their vicinities of the Taninthayi Region.

WHO is convening a global research and innovation forum to mobilize international action in response to the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV). "Harnessing the power of science is critical for bringing this outbreak under control," said WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. 

Union Minister Dr Win Myat Aye of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and responsible personnel made a camp closure survey trip to the Myaing Gyi Ngu special zone in Sonenathamyaingswe city, Kayin State in accord with a national strategy for the resettlement of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the temporary shelter camp closure.
