Representatives from the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) donated relief supplies to the displaced people who left their homes due to escalating clashes between the Tatmadaw and the Arakan Army (AA) yesterday.

The Kandayawady RC Bridge crossing the Belu Creek in Loikaw City, Kayah State is being expanded into a four-lane concrete bridge and expansion work began in March this year.

Coffee will be cultivated on 5,000 acres of land in Thandaunggyi Township, Kayin State, as part of a special coffee zone project, according to the state’s Agriculture Department.

The Myanmar Companies Law signed by the President which was released on 6 December 2017 came into force starting from 1 August 2018. The new company law comprising modern procedures and improvements in legal affairs being exercised in the international community set up the harmonized framework which is clear and transparent for companies.

Myanmar is an agro-based country. More than 70 per cent of the country’s population is residing in rural areas, and most rural people are relying on agriculture for their livelihood.
