Tourists travel to Myanmar through border checkpoints to enjoy its natural landscapes, tour attractive tourist sites and observe a diverse range of cultures and traditions of ethnic tribes. 

Accompanied by the speaker of the regional parliament, regional lawmakers, the deputy commissioner and township administrators, Chief Minister of Sagaing Region Dr. Myint Naing looked into progress of developmental tasks in Indaw and Wuntho Townships on Sunday.

Some 60000 stimulant tablets were seized from a passenger bus which was on its way from Yangon to Sittway in Ngaphe Township, Magway Region on 9 March.

The course instructors will give lectures on basic principles of natural disasters, disasters in Myanmar, climate change, mitigation of disaster risks and environmental conservation, knowledge about disaster management, review on early warning system, community-based disaster management, search and rescue and emergency hotline and cooperation.

Assistant Director of the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Daw Myint Win and her party inspected the work progress of construction of a two-storey facility that belongs to the DRD in Hsipaw Township, Northern Shan State on 10 March.     

The project is the first phase of the National Electrification Plan (NEP) being implemented by the ESE with loans from the World Bank.
