In 1978, the World Health Organization (WHO) implemented the global strategy for ‘Health for All by the year 2000’ and acknowledged that preliminary healthcare is the first basic requirement of the people. Of the total population of Myanmar, 70 per cent live in rural areas and the nation provides preliminary healthcare for them and the rest of the citizens.

A local police station opened files for a lawsuit against the drivers and their colleagues who smuggled the cattle without permissions under Section 5 of the Important Commodities and Services Law.

The fire is believed to have started from the ember in the kitchen of a house belonging to a woman named Daw Khin Win. The ember spread nearby dry wooden sticks, engulfing three wooden houses. The estimated loss of property due to the fire is about Ks. 1.55 million.

The new lifts were built with Ks. 75.4 million donated by Daw Kywe Kywe and family with a view to helping Buddhist pilgrims across the country pay homage to the historic pagoda conveniently.
