Thais visit Myanmar on their own motorcars

Nay Pyi Taw, 26 August

The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has been planning travel itinerary for international visitors to tour Myanmar conveniently with the aim of boosting tourism industry.

The ministry also organized some travel routes for foreigners who enter the country through border checkpoints to enjoy natural scenery and traditional cultural customs of ethnic people. 66 tourists from Thailand visited Myanmar on their own motorcars by crossing the Htikhee border gate on 9 August under the management of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and Khaing Lin Tun Co., Ltd.

They also toured Maungmakan Beach and Dawei and left for Thailand through the Htikhee border checkpoint on 11 August. As this is rainy season in Myanmar and some restrictions were eased to welcome more tourists.
