A ceremony was held on the evening of 10 June at a local battalion in Tha­ton, Mon State, to warm­ly welcome back frontline soldiers who returned after completing opera­tional and security duties in Kayin State aimed at maintaining national sta­bility and regional peace.

 

The welcoming event was attended by officials from the South-East Com­mand, departmental offi­cials, members of the My­anmar Police Force, the Myanmar War Veterans Organization, people’s mi­litia groups, and the local populace.

 

The returning sol­diers, who had served day and night tirelessly on the front lines to ensure the safety, security, and peace­ful livelihoods of citizens across various regions and states, were warm­ly greeted with Eugenia sprigs, accompanied by traditional ethnic music and dance performances.

 

An official from the South-East Command delivered a congratulatory address to the returning soldiers and presented them with honorary cash awards. — MNA/KZL
