Three people were killed in a traffic accident between two cars in Myothit Township, Magway Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
The accident occurred at a small bridge over the Mone Creek near Pho Lay Lone Village, Myothit Township when a Mark II car got a puncture and collided with another light truck coming from an opposite direction with 12 people aboard after the driver lost control of the car. Three people from light truck were pronounced dead on the scene and nine others sustained minor injuries in the incident.
The injured people are considered not life-threatening and were sent to a public hospital. The driver of Mark II is being questioned over reckless driving by the police.—MOHA
