The Tokyo Metropolitan government confirmed 207 new cases of the coronavirus in Tokyo on Tuesday.
New infections have again topped 200 after a dip on Monday.
The total number of people who have tested positive in the capital now stands at 18,082.
Metropolitan officials are urging maximum precautions and asking people to refrain from trips outside Tokyo, homecomings and group dinners.
