Torrential rains cause landslide in Thandaunggyi

Torrential downpours and gusty winds hit Thandaunggyi, Kayin State and caused landslide and collapse of trees that blocked the traffic.

This morning, a landslide happened at the junction of Leiktho and Cherry Roads. Therefore, departmental officials rushed to the scene and cleared the landslide with the help of bulldozer. Accordingly, local residents can travel safely starting from 11 am. 

Likewise, the officials also cleared the falling tree near the Office of Construction and Rural Development Department at Ward-4 in Thandaunggyi according to the Township Information and Public Relations Department.
