Traffic accident claims two dead, two injured in Leymyethna

Two people were killed and two others slightly injured after a passenger bus crashed into a motorbike in Laymyethna Township, Ayeyawady Region on 19 July.
    

 

The deadly accident took place between milepost 30/1 and 30/2 in Ward-5, Laymyethna Township at about 8:30 p.m. on 19 July. A passenger bus driven by a man identified as Than Zaw Myint (alias) Japan with 18 people aboard hit a motorbike coming from an opposite direction. The motorcyclist named Phoe La Pyae (aka) Lin Htet Aung, 20 years old and his colleague Ta Yoke Gyi (alias) Thant Zin Aung died on the spot and two passengers were hurt in the incident.

 


The bus driver fled from the scene of accident and the injured people were sent to a nearby public hospital for medical treatment. The local police charged against the motorist who is still on the run over reckless driving.—MOHA
