THE Department of Rural Development under the Min­istry of Cooperatives and Rural Development held a ceremo­ny yesterday to transfer K30 million of the Rural Business Fund (RBF) to Yonetaw Village, Lewe Township, the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.

 

The fund transfer ceremo­ny was held in Yonetaw Village, which is implementing the Ru­ral Business Fund (RBF) pro­ject to improve rural livelihoods and promote income-generat­ing activities.

 

 

At the event, Lewe Town­ship Head of the Department of Rural Development, U San Yu Hlaing, explained the ob­jectives of the fund transfer, details of the project, and the future implementation tasks to be carried out by the bene­ficiary community.

 

Following this, township officials formally transferred K30 million to four livelihood groups in Ronetaw Village. Each group received K7.5 mil­lion, with the total fund aimed at supporting agricultural and livestock production as well as small and micro-enterprises through a cooperative-based system.

 

The project is intended to provide necessary financial capital for farmers and small business operators, and to strengthen community-based livelihood development through organized group activities, ac­cording to officials. — Cho Than Nyunt (Rural)
