Tree-planting event to mark Myanmar Women’s Day held in Pwintbyu

Pwintbyu, 1 July

           

The monsoon collective tree planting ceremony was held in the compound of the agricultural institute in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region this morning to hail the Myanmar Women’s Day which will fall on 3 July.

           

The event was organized by the township women’s affairs association. About 140 participants planted 105 shady trees including bamboo and teak at a designated land plot in an attempt to in order to make the environment clean, green, and beautiful.

           

The activity was also partook by Township Administrator U Win Shwe, Chairperson of the township women’s affairs association Daw Maw Maw Win, officials from the Forest Department, principal of the agricultural institute Daw Yi Yi Tin, faculty members and students.—Ye Win Naing (NyaungU)
