US President Donald Trump says he will decide whether to impose another tariff increase on Chinese products after the Group of 20 summit later this month.
Speaking to reporters in France on Thursday, Trump said he will make the decision after he meets Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G20.
The G20 summit is scheduled for June 28 and 29 in Osaka, western Japan. A meeting between the leaders of the US and China has not yet been officially set.
The Trump administration has threatened additional tariffs of as much as 25 percent on 300 billion dollars' worth of Chinese goods. The levies would cover 3,805 items.
The measure would make almost all Chinese products shipped to the US subject to punitive duties.
China on Sunday said in a report that it will not bow to pressure from the US.
