US President Donald Trump has described the investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election as a waste of time.
Trump spoke to reporters at the White House on Wednesday after congressional testimony by former special counsel Robert Mueller.
Trump declared it was a very good day for the Republican Party, and that Mueller's testimony proved the whole thing has been three years of embarrassment and a waste of time for the United States.
On Mueller stating that his report did not exonerate the President, Trump noted this was because Mueller is not authorized to judge his innocence.
