Two men died and five others sustained minor injuries after a six-wheeled truck overturned in Maei Township, Rakhine State, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The deadly accident took place on a mountain slope near Thadon Village in Maei Township at about 11 a.m. on 16 March when a truck was heading to another location from Thadon Village for cutting bamboo. Two men were killed on the spot and five others were injured in the incident. The accident occurred due to the faculty braking system of the vehicle in which the driver fled the scene.
The injured people were transmitted to a nearby hospital and an investigation into the case is ongoing by the local police.—MOHA
