Two people were killed due to lightning strike in Hpakant Township, Kachin State on May 24.
A man was struck to death by lightning while he was working at the Yadana Company in Hpapyin Village in Hpakant Township and another one was killed while he was working at the Taukpakye Company in Ngopyin Village in Hpakant Township, Kachin State during heavy rain.
The deceased were transported by vehicles from the Social Assistance Association to nearby Hpapyin and Lonkhin cemeteries.—Township IPRD
