Two minors died and one other was seriously injured in a traffic accident between a motorbike and a car, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
The fatal accident occurred between mileposts 204/3 and 204/4 on the Mandalay-Muse Road near Kaunghaw Village, Theinni Township in Shan State at about 7:30 a.m. on 24 February. A motorbike with three minors on board collided with a car coming from an opposite direction after the motorcyclist lost control of the motorbike. Two juveniles named Aung Paing Phyo, 16, and San Ko Ko, 14, were pronounced dead on the scene and their colleague sustained severe injuries in the incident.
The local police filed a charge against the motorcyclist identified as Aung Paing Phyo (deceased) over reckless driving.—MOHA
