Two children were reportedly killed in a house fire in Tawhte Village, Mindat Township in Chin State, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The fire broke out at a house of a man identified as Gay Shui, 60, from Tawhte Village at about 00:20 a.m. on 24 February and had ceased about 25 minutes later. Two kids in their 5 and 2 yrs died from burn wounds and the house owner hurt slightly in the incident. In addition the house was also destroyed by the blaze that was believed to have started from an overheated battery.
The house owner is being questioned over fire negligence by the local police station, the ministry said.—MOHA
