The Rural Development Department in Loilem Township, Shan State (South), disbursed K3.65 million from the Emerald Green Project Fund to residents of Kaung Ngo and Kaung Leng villages on Wednesday.
The fund aims to reduce rural poverty by creating job opportunities and increasing household income. During the event, township officials explained the project’s rules, loan terms, interest rates, and benefits to village committee members.
Loans were provided at low interest rates for agriculture, livestock breeding, and small business activities. Kaung Ngo Village received K2.45 million for 19 members, while Kaung Leng Village received K1.2 million for 11 members.— Karam (RDD)
