UHDD, LH Corporation sign MoU on building KMIC Industrial Complex

THE URBAN and Housing Development Department-UHDD of Ministry of Construction and the Korea Land and Housing Corporation-LH Corporation signed an Memorandum of Understanding-MoU on building KMIC Industrial Complex on 555.81 acres of Nyaung Hna Pin Training School in Hlegu Township, Yangon Region.

The ceremony to sign MoU was held at the Ministry of Construction in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, and attended Union Minister for Construction U Han Zaw, Permanent Secretary U Win Tint, departmental heads, CEO of LH Mr Byun Chang Heum and officials, CEO of Global SAE-A Mr Kim Ki Myug and officials, invited guests and departmental officials in attendance.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Union Minister U Han Zaw said building KMIC Industrial Complex will greatly underpin the development of industrial, export and human resource sectors in Yangon Region and Myanmar, creating 50,000 to 100,000 job opportunities.

He then expressed thanks to the Government of the Republic of Korea for assisting Myanmar with the implementation of not only Dala Bridge and KMIC Industrial Complex projects but also other projects for development.

He then said joint venture partners – Department of Urban and Housing Development, LH Corporation and Global SAE-A – to work hard with mutual trusts and cooperation to get good results and achievement in the KMIC project which is jointly cooperated by the governments of Korea and Myanmar.


Mr Byun Chang Heum, CEO of Korea Land and Housing Corporation, and Mr Kim Ki Myug, CEO of Global SAE-A, also extended greetings.

Afterwards, U Min Htein, the Director-General of Department of Urban and Housing Development, explained about the procedures of the project.

U Min Htein, the Director-General of Department of Urban and Housing Development, Mr Byun Chang Heum, CEO of Korea Land and Housing Corporation, and Mr Kim Ki Myung, CEO of Global SAE-A, then signed partnership projects agreements in the presence of the Union Minister.
