Union Education Minister tours basic education schools, encourages peaceful study for 2024-25AY

Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe, along with Deputy Ministers Dr Zaw Myint and Dr Moe Zaw Tun, Permanent Sec­retary Dr Soe Win, and officials, inspected the opening of the 2024-2025 academic year basic education schools in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning, encouraging students to study peacefully.

 

The Union minister visit­ed Zabuthiri Township No 14 Basic Education High School, Pobbathiri Township No 3 Basic Education High School, and Ot­tarathiri Township No 12 Basic Education High School in Nay Pyi Taw. He observed students studying peacefully, offered en­couraging words, and greeted students and teachers cordially.

 

During the visits, Dr Nyunt Pe emphasized that each student should have good intentions and goals. He stressed the impor­tance of learning from the start of the academic year to achieve these goals. He encouraged stu­dents to become literate, disci­plined, and patriotic and to cher­ish their country and culture. He urged them to be polite and strive to be excellent and reliable stu­dents for the State.

 

The Union minister also inspected classrooms, school patches, and cleaning operations, addressing any needs.

 

Meanwhile, basic education schools, universities, and educa­tion degree colleges across re­gions and states opened for the new academic year. Altogether, 6,536,713 students reportedly en­rolled in schools between 23 May and 3 June. — MNA/TS
