Union Information Minister inspects readiness of Magway youth festival

UNION Minister for Information Dr Pe Myint inspected the preparations for the All-Round Youth Development Festival (Magway) yesterday evening.

Firstly, the Union Minister observed performers rehearsing for the festival’s opening ceremony in the Convocation Hall of Magway University.

Next, he inspected the exhibition booths and bookstalls prepared for the festival while listening to explanations on each of them from officials.

The All-Round Youth Development Festival (Magway) will be held from today to 16 December with over a hundred exhibition booths focusing on literature, sports, art and information technology movements. There will also be 60 bookstalls and fa-mous artists performing at the festival. Earlier on the same day, Magway Region Chief Minister Dr Aung Moe Nyo, Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun, regional cabinet ministers and other officials also inspected rehearsals for the opening ceremony of the festival at the Convocation Hall of Magway University.

The Chief Minister and entourage inspected the rehearsal for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, entertainment programme inside the Convocation Hall, outstanding students rehearsing for the awarding ceremony, and the layout of the exhibition halls.
