Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Myint Htwe attended a public talk on hypertension held at University of Nursing, Yangon yesterday morning.
After the public talk, the Union Minister went to Medical Research Department (Yangon) and attended and addressed a coordination meeting on holding 48th Myanmar Health Research Congress from 13 to 17 January 2020.
At the meeting the Union Minister was explained about preparations made to hold the congress.
Later in the afternoon the Union Minister attended and addressed a coordination meeting on safe and secure blood transfusion held at National Blood Center (Yangon).
At the meeting National Blood Center (Yangon) advisor Mr Hiro Konishi and Deputy Director General Dr Thida Aung presented findings and suggestions on blood centers in 26 hospitals and other meeting attendees provided discussions and suggestions.—MNA
