UNION Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Ohn Win inspected the pilot cultivation for bio-fuel at the 39-acre camp of the ministry in North Dagon, Yangon Region yesterday.
Following the visit, the Union Minister visited the Wood Based Technology Training Centre in the Panglong Street in the same township.
At the centre, the Union Minister heard report on trainings conducted by the centre since 2005 and measures currently taken, and gave necessary instructions to the officials concerned.
Afterwards, the Union Minister visited the Training School-3 of the Myanmar Timber Enterprise in the Oakkyin No. 8 Saw Mill in Hline Town-ship.
At the meeting with the officials of the training school, officials reported on capacity building trainings for employees of the ministry conducted at the school. Union Minister U Ohn Win also visited the Oakkyin No.8 Saw Mill and met with employees and officials.
At the meeting, he called for making profit from running the state-own business and ensuring work-site safety.
