Union Peace Conference to be held under COVID-19 guidelines

The Central Committee for Organizing Union Peace Conference-21st Panglong held a meeting at the Ministry of State Counsellor Office yesterday.


Union Minister U Kyaw Tint Swe, in his capacity as the Vice-Chairman of Committee, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Lt-Gen Ye Aung, U Kyaw Tin, Dr Pe Myint, U Thant Sin Maung, Dr Myint Htwe, U Ohn Maung, Peace Commission Chairman Dr Tin Myo Win, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr Myo Aung, Deputy Minister U Khin Maung Tin and U Maung Maung Win, Police Lt-Gen Aung Win Oo of Myanmar Police Force, permanent secretaries, the directors-general and officials.


Union Minster U Kyaw Tint Swe explained plans for holding of the upcoming peace conference in new normal and discussions with EAOs and their agreements on reduction of overall participants to one-third.


Director-General U Zaw Htay also presented preparatory plans for the peace conference.


The Union Ministers of respective committees discussed invitations, accommodation, transportation, security, press and information, healthcare, banking and coordination works for the peace conference.
