Officials from Nyaung-U District Department of Agriculture provided vegetable seeds to farmers in Bagan Nyaung-U Area in Mandalay Region this morning.
An official from the District Department of Agriculture clarified the purpose of the provision and provided a total of 25 kinds of vegetable seeds and saplings to farmers at the office of the District Department of Agriculture.
According to the District Department, a total of 552 farmers in Nyaung-U, Kyaukpadaung and Ngathayauk Townships have been distributed vegetable seeds.
With the aim of consuming fresh organic vegetables and reducing the cost of every household amid the outbreak of COVID-19, the Department of Agriculture is implementing home garden project across the nation. The Nyaung-U District Department of Agriculture has planted over 1000 saplings to distribute to the farmers in the district and the officials will share how to plant and how to make natural insecticide.
