Vessel sinks after colliding with another boat in Bogale

No casualties were reported in a head-on collision between two boats in a creek in Bogale Township, Ayeyawady Region, according to a source from the Ministry of Home Affairs.


The accident took place when a vessel with 35,000 bricks operated by a man identified as U Kan Htoo, 53 years of age collided with another boat with four people aboard driven by a man named Hsan Min Aung, 31 years old in the Natchaung Creek at about 5 p.m. on 28 September. The boat carrying bricks sank in the creek but no one was injured in the accident. 


It remains unclear why the vessel veered into the boat. Both boat operators are being questioned over reckless driving by the local police.
