VICE-PRESIDENT of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Nyo Saw, who is currently in Saint Peters­burg of the Russian Federation to attend the 29th Saint Peters­burg International Economic Fo­rum (SPIEF) 2026, received Mr Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Feder­ation and Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Commit­tee, and a delegation led by Mr Alexander Sergeevich Shatirov, Director of Fund RC-Investment at the EXPOFORUM Conven­tion and Exhibition Centre in Saint Petersburg separately yesterday.

 

At the meeting with the Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Execu­tive Secretary of the Forum Or­ganizing Committee, they openly discussed the cooperation car­ried out between Myanmar and Russia and further promotion of cooperation in various sectors, including the trade and invest­ment sectors.

 

In holding a meeting with the Director of the Fund RC-In­vestment, they frankly ex­changed views on the progress of work processes in implementing agriculture, mining, trade and electricity sectors between rel­evant ministries and organiza­tions of Myanmar and the Fund RC-Investment, and further co­operation measures.

 

Also present at the meetings were Union ministers, deputy ministers, Myanmar Ambassa­dor to the Russian Federation U Myo Moe Aung, the Consul-Gen­eral in Saint Petersburg and of­ficials. The Adviser to the Pres­ident of the Russian Federation and the Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Com­mittee and the Director of Fund RC-Investment was accompa­nied by officials. — MNA/TTA
