VICE-PRESIDENT of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Nyo Saw, who is currently in Saint Petersburg of the Russian Federation to attend the 29th Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2026, received Mr Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee, and a delegation led by Mr Alexander Sergeevich Shatirov, Director of Fund RC-Investment at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre in Saint Petersburg separately yesterday.
At the meeting with the Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee, they openly discussed the cooperation carried out between Myanmar and Russia and further promotion of cooperation in various sectors, including the trade and investment sectors.
In holding a meeting with the Director of the Fund RC-Investment, they frankly exchanged views on the progress of work processes in implementing agriculture, mining, trade and electricity sectors between relevant ministries and organizations of Myanmar and the Fund RC-Investment, and further cooperation measures.
Also present at the meetings were Union ministers, deputy ministers, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Myo Moe Aung, the Consul-General in Saint Petersburg and officials. The Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and the Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee and the Director of Fund RC-Investment was accompanied by officials. — MNA/TTA
