The awarding ceremony of victorious athletes from the Ministry of Home Affairs who competed in 32nd SEA Games was held at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut urged athletes to uphold the concept to enhance the sports standard of the nation and make all-out efforts for securing more gold medals in the internal and international competitions to uplift prestige of the State by representing the Ministry of Home Affairs.
A total of 18 athletes from the Ministry of Home Affairs secured seven gold medals, seven silver medals and nine bronze medals in seven sports events.
Then, Deputy Prime Minister Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Deputy Minister Chief of Myanmar Police Force Maj-Gen Zin Min Htet, permanent secretary U Khaing Tun Oo and director-general of the General Administration Department U Myint Than presented certificates of honour and cash award to victorious athletes, coaches, administrators and referees.
Those victorious athletes and coaches were served with a tea party. — MNA/KZW
