Vote counting begins across India on Thursday, after the country's month-long general election ended on Sunday.
Attention is focused on whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party, or BJP, and its allies will secure a majority and stay in power. Modi has been in office since 2014.
Voting was carried out in seven phases since April 11 in 542 constituencies.
The biggest challenge to Modi's BJP came from the main opposition Congress party, led by Rahul Gandhi.
Major Indian media say exit polls show the BJP and its allies likely to win a majority.
The election results are expected on Thursday.
