Water supply tasks to benefit rural people in Chaungzon Townsip

Rural water supply tasks are being implemented in Chaungzon Township, Mon State and the projects are completed by 70 percent, according to a source from the Department of Rural Development.
    

 

The DRD is digging up tube-wells, constructing water tanks, building a brick tank and a water treatment plant and installing a water supply pipeline in six villages. The rural water supply tasks are being undertaken by spending Ks. 77.27 million from the local government funds and the DRD’s allotted budget, said an official from the DRD.
    

 

Upon completion of the projects, water can be distributed to more than 16,000 dwellers from 2,970 households from six villages.—Nyein Thu (Salin)
