A woman was seriously injured when a road accident occurred on Kawlin-Kyauktan road in Kawlin township, Katha district, Sagaing region yesterday.
The accident involving a six-wheeled truck and a motorbike happened when the driver of the truck tried to carve up the motorbike running in the same direction in front of it, hitting it to throw motorcyclist onto the ground.
The motorcyclist named Myint Myint San was seriously injured and rushed to the township hospital for medical treatment.
The authorities brought charges against truck driver Hmat Gyi, a resident of Chaung Thonegwa village, Letpadan township, for careless driving.—Lu Aung ( Katha)
