THE industrial, agricultural and livestock matriculation ex­aminations, which began on 11 March, concluded on 18 March with the final Mechanical sub­ject at four examination centres in Yangon Region, where 243 candidates sat the examination.

 

A total of 402 candidates took the industrial, agricultural and livestock matriculation ex­aminations, sitting Mechanical, Agricultural and Livestock sub­jects at centres in Hlegu, Hmaw­by, Dagon Myothit (South) and Twantay townships. Of these, 243 candidates – 163 males and 80 females – sat Urban Planning, Introduction to Basic Program­ming and Industrial Drawing in the building (BT), electron­ics (ET) and mechanical (MT) streams on the final day.

 

In the 2026 Industrial, Agri­cultural and Livestock Universi­ty Entrance Examination, stu­dents from four exam centres in Yangon Region completed the examination without any absences from the first day on 11 March to the final day. On the last day, Introduction to Basic Programming was held from 9 am to 12 noon, while Urban Planning and Industrial Plan­ning were conducted from 9 am to 1 pm.

 

“This is the first time the In­dustrial, Agricultural and Live­stock Matriculation Examina­tion has been held. A total of 243 students from Yangon Region attended all examination days without absence. As Yangon Re­gion has the highest number of candidates, the students have worked hard to sit the exami­nation, and we are pleased that they will be able to attend the Agricultural and Livestock Uni­versity upon passing. Myanmar will also benefit from a new gen­eration of professionals,” said U Min Oo (Education), Deputy Director of the Yangon Region Education Officer office.

 

The 2026 Industrial, Agri­cultural and Livestock Matric­ulation Examination was held from 11 to 18 March, with 15 March (Sunday) observed as a holiday. The Mechanical stream included subjects such as My­anmar, English, Mathematics, Combined Science, Surveying, Electrical Equipment, Weld­ing Technology, Carpentry and Woodworking, Industrial Elec­tric Motor Control, Machine Cutting Technology, Urban Mapping, Introduction to Basic Programming, and Industrial Drawing in the building, elec­tronics and mechanical fields. The Agricultural stream cov­ered Myanmar, Crop Produc­tion 1, 2 and 3, Crop Protection and Social Science, while the Livestock stream included My­anmar, Chicken Breeding and Production, Pig Breeding and Production, Aquatic Animal Pro­duction, Beekeeping, and Beef Cattle Breeding. — Nyein Thu (MNA)/MKKS
