Yunnan govt donates 4 mln yuan worth of COVID-19 medical supplies for Yangon

Government of Yunnan Province provided 4-million-yuan worth of COVID-19 medical supplies for Yangon yesterday morning.


Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and his government members, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chen Hai, the embassy officials and officials and the Representative Office of Yunnan Commerce in Myanmar attended the donation ceremony in Yangon Government headquarters.


The donation items included 23,000 N-95 masks, 23,000 surgical masks, 15,000 medical face shields, 15,000 pieces of medical protective clothing, 15,000 anti-fog eye masks, 15,000 disposable medical caps, 15,000 plastic shoe covers, 15,000 sets of latex glove, 15,000 sets of disposable isolation gowns and 5 units of non-invasive ventilators, which were transported to Myanmar by trucks through the border crossing.


Yunnan govt also donated K800 million worth of COVID-19 medical supplies for Mandalay Region on 14 November.
