YANGON University of Education (YUOE) and the Chinese Embassy jointly held a cultural exhibition on 19 June at the YUOE Learning Hub to introduce students to the intangible cultural heritage of both nations.

The event featured traditional Bagan and Chinese dances performed by YUOE and Yangon University of Foreign Languages students. It was attended by university officials, teachers, students, and representatives from the Myanmar Anhui Chamber of Commerce and the China-Myanmar Cooperation Economic Development Association.

YUOE Rector Dr Kay Thwe Hlaing noted that the exhibition highlights the cultural similarities and differences between the two close neighbours. She emphasized that the experience equips YUOE students – the country’s future senior basic education teachers – with vital knowledge to promote international friendship and cultural preservation in their own future classrooms. — Bala/MKKS
