Strong earthquake hits outside Myanmar

No reports of damages or casualties were available following a strong earthquake which was recorded early this morning, according to a source from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).


A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter outside Myanmar hit Mindanao, the Philippines. It was recorded at 5:51 a.m. today at a latitude of 5.29°N, and longitude of 125.49°E, with a depth of 26 kilometers and about 2,143 miles southeast of the Kabaaye seismological observatory, the DMH announced.
