SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces of Russian Federation and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces Colonel- General Kim Alexey Rostislavovic

Chairman of the State Ad­ministration Council Com­mander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Feder­ation and First Deputy Com­mander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces Colonel-Gen­eral Kim Alexey Rostislavovich at the parlour of Zeyathiri Beik­man in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

 

Also present at the meet­ing were Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun and senior military officers from the Office of the Command­er-in-Chief (Army). The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Rus­sian Ground Forces was ac­companied by Military Attaché of Russia to Myanmar Colonel Sergey Kurchenko and Russian senior military officers.

 

At the meeting, they cor­dially exchanged views on further promotion of cooper­ation in education, health and technological measures includ­ing defence between the two armed forces of both countries, cooperation in counter-ter­rorism, sending of Myanmar Tatmadaw’s scholarship stu­dents to Russia, enhancement of friendly relations between the two armed forces, partic­ipation of Myanmar Tatmad­aw in the cultural contest and army games held in the Russian Federation, bilateral exchange measures, strategic cooperation in economic and technological sectors of both countries, the emphasis placed by every country to combat terrorism across the world at present, and situation of coop­eration in counter-terrorism between the two armed forc­es of Myanmar and Russia to contribute to regional peace and world’s peace measures.

 

After the meeting, the Sen­ior General and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Feder­ation and the First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Rus­sian Ground Forces exchanged commemorative gifts. — MNA
