Two killed in knife attack on train in Germany

A knife-wielding man attacked passengers on a train in northern Germany on Wednesday, killing two people and injuring seven others.

 

The suspect, who is reported to be a stateless 33-year old Palestinian, was detained and was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

 

Police said they are investigating the motive for the attack but didn't comment further.

 

The attack happened at around 3 p.m. on a train traveling from Kiel to Hamburg.

 

No details were given on the identity of the victims.
