Myanmar vs Syria World Cup qualifiers to take place in Saudi Arabia

The World Cup qualifier be­tween Myanmar and Syria will be held in Saudi Arabia as part of the ongoing second-stage group matches for the Asia zone on 26 March (scheduled for 1:30 am on 27 March of Myanmar Standard Time).


Myanmar tried to secure points against Syria in this away match after drawing 1-1 in their previous home qualifier at Thuwunna Stadium in Yan­gon on 21 March. Myanmar’s head coach Michael Feichten­beiner has finalized a squad of 22 players for the away match, including goalkeeper Kyaw Zin Phyo, Pyae Phyo Aung, and San Set Naing; defenders Hein Zeya Linn, David Htan, Kaung Htet Paing, Nyein Chan, Hein Phyo Win, Soe Moe Kyaw, Thet Hein Soe, Zwe Khant Min, and Khun Kyaw Zin Hein; midfielders Yan Naing Oo, Zaw Win Thein, Kyaw Min Oo, Nay Moe Naing, Lwin Moe Aung, and Hein Htet Aung; and strikers Aung Thu, Maung Maung Lwin, Aung Kaung Marn, and Oakka Naing. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
