THE Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs has announced that Inter-State and Region sports competitions and inter-ministry sports meets will be held during the 2026-2027 financial year.
The Inter-State and Region competitions will take place in Yangon, Bago, Pathein and Taunggyi, featuring 33 events in 29 sports disciplines.
The inter-ministry competitions will be held in Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon, with seven events in six sports disciplines.
The ministry also said outstanding new-generation athletes will be selected and trained at relevant sports federations and youth camps. — ASH/KZL
