THE Corporate Governance Seminar & Panel Discussion Talk 2026 took place on 1 March at the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), jointly organized by Parami International College (PIU College) and Myanmar Bamar Ethnic Entrepreneurs Association. The event focused on governance challenges and opportunities in the modern business world.
“Business companies that do not yet have Corporate Governance in place need to comply with three key requirements: adhering to the Myanmar Companies Law, protecting the rights of company shareholders, and understanding and fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of a company director. We organized this discussion to nurture young people who are interested in doing business and can contribute to national development, and to ensure they understand the ethics and fundamentals of Corporate Governance so they can integrate these principles into their work and advance their businesses,” said Dr Nyi Min Htay, Principal of PIU College.
