UNION Minister for Religious Affairs U Tin Oo Lwin, along with relevant officials, inspect­ed the arrival of a freight train carrying containerized prefab­ricated houses donated by the People’s Republic of China for earthquake-affected monaster­ies and nunneries in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area at 4 pm on 9 May at Ywataw railway station. They also inspected the loading of the prefabricated houses onto vehicles for further transpor­tation.

 

A total of 192 prefabricated houses that arrived at Ywataw Station in Nay Pyi Taw are being distributed and donated to 121 earthquake-affected monaster­ies and one nunnery across the eight townships of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.

 

The Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Religious Af­fairs, the relevant regional gov­ernments, and other relevant departments are cooperating to deliver and donate the pre­fabricated houses to Mandalay Region and Sagaing Region. — MNA/TH
