THE Yaksawk Township Rural Development Department, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, launched a vocational training course on consumer goods production in Loikoe Village in Yaksawk Township, Shan State (South), on 18 May.
The course aims to create job opportunities and nurture a skilled workforce for rural residents. During the opening ceremony, Shan State Hluttaw Representative U Aung Kyaw Nyunt of Yaksawk Township delivered an opening address. Following this, U Nyunt Win, Head of the Taunggyi District Rural Development Department, gave remarks, encouraging trainees to consistently practice the knowledge and skills gained from the course and effectively apply them to supplement their family income.
Subsequently, an instructor from the Shan State Small-Scale Industries Department explained the training curriculum and lessons. Afterwards, the Hluttaw Representative, and departmental officials presented training materials to the participants.
The five-day free training course, running from 18 to 22 May, is being attended by 20 female trainees from Loikoe Village. Skilled instructors are providing systematic training on consumer goods production technologies to help participants establish their own businesses. Furthermore, outstanding trainees who genuinely intend to start enterprises will be eligible to access loans from the department’s Mya Sein Yaung project funds.— Cho Than Nyunt (Rural)
