OFFICIALS from the De­partment of Rural Devel­opment under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, conducted a field inspection yesterday in Inpote Village, PyinOoLwin Township, Mandalay Region, to review the implementation of Green Village Project ac­tivities.

 

During the inspection, PyinOoLwin District Head of the Department of Rural De­velopment U Hset Naing Tun and officials met members of the village Green Village Pro­ject committee and observed the successful operation of small-scale agricultural ac­tivities supported by the pro­ject revolving funds.

 

Officials also reviewed the completeness and ac­curacy of monthly financial reports submitted by the project committee members. The district head coordinated necessary support measures and discussed project im­plementation requirements with villagers and committee members.

 

Revolving funds totalling K47.4 million have been pro­vided to 87 project members engaged in agricultural ac­tivities in Inpote Village. The revolving funds are currently being used effectively to sus­tain and expand project-re­lated livelihood activities. — Cho Than Nyunt (Rural)
