Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee Chairman Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Than Soe, along with Minister for Chin State Security and Border Affairs Colonel Khin Maung Htwe and committee members from Union ministries, arrived at Falam from Haka yesterday morning by military helicopter to inspect the rehabilitation tasks.

The city hall in Falam’s Far Toi Ward hosted a gift ceremony for the city’s reconstruction. The deputy minister and the minister of State Security and Border Affairs talked about the primary needs of Falam’s residents and government employees, including access to drinking water, healthcare, education, and solar power. They also discussed everyone cooperating for Falam’s rehabilitation.

The deputy minister and the Minister of State Security and Border Affairs provided rehabilitation assistance such as corrugated iron sheets, nails, cement and relief items for 73 households from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, and rice, oil, salt, beans, and fish paste worth K6,250,860 for two weeks, which were received by the town elders and officials on behalf of residents. — District IPRD/MKKS
