A goodwill delegation led by Maj-Gen Vanthong Bouttavong, Deputy Head of the Chief of Staff Department of the Lao People’s Army, arrived in Yangon yesterday evening for an official visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Senior officers of the Tatmadaw (Navy), the Lao Military Attaché to Myanmar, and other officials welcomed the delegation at Yangon International Airport.
During their five-day stay, which runs until 12 June, the delegation will tour famous landmarks in Myanmar and take part in goodwill activities aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two navies. – MNA/MKKS
