Thanbyuzayat, June 9

The Rural Development Department (DRD) of Thanbyuzayat Township, Mon State, disbursed Emerald Green Project revolving funds to villagers in Kyone Ka yote Village on June 8.

At the ceremony, Daw Su Thandar Lin, Staff Officer of the township DRD, explained that the ninth-round loan disbursement aims to create employment opportunities, increase household incomes, and support village development through project-generated interest funds. Officials also briefed participants on loan terms and interest rates.

A total of K57 million was provided to the village Emerald Green Project group. Under the supervision of the township DRD, loans were distributed to 83 members, including 62 agricultural workers, two livestock breeders, 16 traders, and three small-scale business operators.

The low-interest loans are expected to support income-generating activities and contribute to rural socio-economic development.— Karam (DRD)
